AO/OTA Fracture and Dislocation
The 2018 revision of the AO/OTA Fracture and Dislocation Classification Compendium addresses the many suggestions to improve the application of the system, as well as add recently published and validated classifications.
To provide users with a more streamlined, concise, and clinically relevant tool, changes to terminology and typography were made, a review of the codes with regards to frequency and applicability was conducted, paired bones (radius/ulna and tibia/fibula) are now coded individually, all fracture illustrations were newly produced, and a list of universal modifiers and qualifications was introduced.
